Some columns are added automatically by Blackboard when certain assessments are deployed in the course. However, columns may be manually added to post grades for assessments that are not submitted electronically through Blackboard.

To add a column manually:

  1. Click the Control Panel button on the left side of the screen in your Course homepage.

  2. Under Assessment, click Grade Center.
    Click Gradecenter
  3. To begin entering scores into a blank Grade Center column, click on the cell.
    Click on the cell
  4. Enter the score for the student.
    Type the score
  5. Strike the Enter key on the keyboard to save the current score and move down to the next student in the column.
    Note
    : It will not be uncommon to see the Saving… message when entering scores in the Grade Center.  Once the score is saved, the points will appear in the cell.

  6. Continue the process until all scores are entered.
    Note:
      The Grade Information Bar can be a useful source of information for grade entry.
