Click CONTROL PANEL and then click MANAGE COURSE MENU. Then, click on the TOOL LINK button at the top to add a link to a Blackboard Tool, such as My Grades. Then, in the drop-down pick list on the next page, select "MY GRADES." You can then customize the name of the button to change it to "Gradebook" if you'd like. Click SUBMIT and then OK. Finally, you can reorder your list of buttons at the MANAGE COURSE MENU area.
No. By going to Control Panel and click Course Options then click Manage Course Menu, the Faculty Member can disable the buttons she will not need. Certain buttons can also be renamed so they apply more readily to the individual course. Additionally, new buttons can be created for both course content and tools. See Customizing Blackboard.
