Tagging Forums
Tagging allows message grouping independent of forum or thread status. Creating tags will provide Faculty great flexibility in searching and filtering forum or thread entries.
Note: The post tagging option must be enabled for the Forum. Also, only Forum Managers can create and apply text labels. Other Blackboard users can read, filter, and search messages using the tags but are unable to create new ones.
- Click Communication on the Course Homepage.
- Click Discussion Board.
- Open a Forum by clicking on its title.
- Select the threads to tag.
Note: To select individual threads, use the checkboxes at the left of the title.

To select all threads within the Forum, use the Select All feature.

- Click the Collect button.

- Using either the checkbox or Select All methods, select the threads to tag.

- Type the tag text into the Tag textbox.

- Click the Go button to apply the tag text.

- Once tags are applied, they should be listed in the Tags section for each thread.

Note: To remove the tags, click the
icon next to the tag.
